Accessibility

What works

This brand comes out of working with blind teenagers: a website that was hard to use would be a contradiction. Here we write down what we have done so that it isn’t.

WCAG 2.2, level AA

It is the benchmark of the European Accessibility Act, in force since 28 June 2025.

  • The configurator is a real form: three groups of radio buttons, reachable from the keyboard.
  • No information carried by colour alone: every choice is a photograph of the material, the name of the selected one is always written out, and each swatch carries its own name for screen readers.
  • Every change of combination is announced to screen readers.
  • Every photograph has a description written by hand: material, point of view, where the letters are. Never “black bag”.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 pixels on the controls, and never under 24 even on minor links. Checked by hand on every control.
  • It works at 200% zoom with no horizontal scrolling, and it honours the request to reduce motion.
  • The films start muted, have a pause control, and do not start on their own when reduced motion is requested. No accessibility overlay.
  • When the shopping bag opens, the rest of the page leaves the tab order: keyboard users never end up behind the panel.
  • Contrast verified by calculation, not by eye: every piece of text reaches at least 4.5:1 against its own background, including the white controls over the films.
  • The site exists in Italian and in English, with the correct language attribute: screen readers do not read English with an Italian accent.
